Burn Out in Caring Professions

The WHO goes on to say burnout is characterized by three dimensions:

  • feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion;
  • increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one’s job; and
  • reduced professional efficacy.

I have helplessly watched too many wonderful people at caring professions burning out. You care so much about your students, patients, or customers, your mind is working well beyond working hours, often until very late at night. You do so much for the wellbeing of others.

But wait, who is caring for you?

I took time off teaching to learn how to take care of my mind through meditation and yoga. Now I want to share some of what I have learnt, so that you can be free from busy mind.

With each meditation session, you train your mind to be more aware, and slowly this awareness becomes a permanent fixture in your life. Meditation helps YOU to control your mind, not the other way around. As a result, you feel grounded, relaxed, and your threshold to handle stress and challenges increases.

I am a 50hr Certified Meditation Teacher. I would love to guide you to be free from your busy mind. Find a quiet corner at home. All you need is a device connected to a provided zoom link. You do not need to turn on your camera if you choose not to!
